Overall, the 2019 KTM 790 Adventure Motorcycle is the best choice for extended riding. With the help of two balance shafts, vibration is reduced to a minimum, thus ensuring smooth long-distance driving. Within a prolonged maintenance interval of 15,000 km, you can continue worry-free for several days. Tags.
At 450 lb fully fuelled, the Adventure R is already a light middleweight, but it’s even better when you realize how much more efficiently that weight is distributed. The WP Xplor suspension worked perfectly, without any front end wonkiness. The rear end never lost traction chunking its way up loose, bumpy hills.
Our Review of the Denali Cansmart Controller & D4 / B6 Lights. I installed the Denali Cansmart Controller on his KTM 790 Adventure back in June 2021 along with two Denali D4 Trioptic LED lights and a B6 auxiliary brake light. I ran this combination for 6000 miles in heat, cold, rain, mud, and everything else trying to break it.
The 2024 KTM 790 ADVENTURE revives the spirit of its predecessors, combining the thrill of off-road conquest with the comfort of long-distance travel. The heart of this beast is a reworked 799cc parallel-twin engine, offering smoother power delivery with 93.87 horsepower at your command.
Sep 26, 2011. Oddometer: 235. Location: Bonney Lake, Wa. I've run a 790 for a couple of week long trips. So far I like the power, although it seems to keep the engine from revving as high. I'm able to cruise 65-70 ok with stock gearing. The extra low end power makes it so i don't have to run a 14 tooth CS sprocket.
What we see here is a much-evolved motorcycle, a full next-gen replacement for the existing 390 that will come with much more out-of-the-box off-road capability, including new suspension and wheels. At the heart of the transformation is KTM’s new 399cc LC4c (liquid-cooled, 4-valve compact) single already transplanted in the 390 Duke for 2024.
It prefers to cruise right around 5,000 rpm, which is right at the beginning of the sweet spot between 5,000 and 9,000 rpm. The KTM 790 prefers to be moooooving. Below 4,000 rpm, the fueling seems to stumble a bit and at lower speeds the heat coming off the catalytic converter is more noticeable. Photo by Dustin Carpio.
